Disaster occurrence, as if, is a normal matter in Barisal Division. Disaster Management is an important factor for the people of the districts under Barisal Division. As a result, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is one of the most important factors of this Division. For the sake of different stakeholders working in Local, National and International levels on DRR or Disaster Management, the Client (SANGRAM, a local NGO) has planned to establish a Disaster Risk Management HUB in the name of “GIS Based Disaster Risk Management Information System of Barguna District” SANGRAM offices located at Barguna. This HUB, in short, will contain the following information: *Geographic Presentation of Barguna district* Cyclone Shelters of 6 Upazilas of Barguna district * Cyclone and Salinity vulnerable location of Barguna district * Using Geo Locator user can get position by android Cell phone.
This project has been executed by SANGRAM (Sangathita Gramunnyan Karmasuchi) with technical and financial assistance of National Alliance of Humanitarian Actors (NAHAB),Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) and Oxfam Bangladesh and has been completed with the support from local district authority especially from DC and DRRO, Barguna, District FSCD Officials, local NGOs as CODEC, NSS, JNGO NARI, Sankalpa Trust, DOCAP, SAP-BD, ANNESA and RDF and has been executed by SANGRAM (SangathitaGramunnyanKarmasuchi) with technical and financial assistance of National Alliance of Humanitarian Actors (NAHAB),Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) and Oxfam Bangladesh.
দুর্যোগের ঘটনা বরিশাল বিভাগের একটি সাধারণ বিষয়।বরিশাল বিভাগের অন্তর্গত জেলাগুলির মানুষের জন্য দুর্যোগব্যবস্থাপনা একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান। ফলস্বরূপ, দূর্যোগ ঝুঁকি হ্রাস (ডি আর আর) এই বিভাগে কর্মরত সংস্থা সমূহ ও জনগনের একটি অন্যতম গুরুত্ব পূর্ণ বিষয়। ডি আর আর বা দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনায় স্থানীয়, জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে কর্মরত বিভিন্ন স্টেক হোল্ডারের স্বার্থে সংগ্রাম (সংগঠিত গ্রামোন্নয়ন কর্মসূচী) জি আই এস ভিত্তিক দূর্যোগ ঝুঁকি ব্যবস্থাপনা শিরোনামে একটি দুর্যোগ ঝুঁকি ব্যবস্থাপনা প্রতিষ্ঠার পরিকল্পনা করেছে। জি আই এস ভিত্তিক দূর্যোগ ঝুঁকি ব্যবস্থাপনায় নিম্ন লিখিত তথ্য সমূহ রয়েছে:* বরগুনা জেলার ভৌগলিক উপস্থাপনা * বরগুনা জেলার ঘূর্ণি ঝড় আশ্রয় কেন্দ্র সমূহ* বরগুনা জেলার ঘূর্ণিঝড় এবং লবনাক্ততার ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ অবস্থান * জিও লোকেটার ব্যবহার করে অ্যান্ড্রয়েড সেলফোনে অবস্থান নির্ণয়করা।জিআইএস ভিত্তিক দূর্যোগ ঝুঁকি ব্যবস্থাপনা প্রকল্পটি বরগুনা জেলা প্রশাসন, জেলাত্রান ও দূর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা কার্যালয়, ফায়ার সার্ভিস ও সিভিল ডিফেন্সের পৃষ্ঠপোষকতায় এবং স্থানীয় উন্নয়ন সংস্থা কোডেক, এনএসএস, জাগোনারী, সংকল্পট্রাস্ট, ডোকাপ, অন্বেষা ও আর ডি এফ এর সহযোগিতায় সম্পন্ন করা হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্পটি ন্যাশনাল অ্যালায়েন্স অব হিউম্যানিটেরিয়ান একটরস (নাহাব), ঢাকা আহসানিয়া মিশন (ডিএএম) এবং অক্সফাম বাংলাদেশের প্রযুক্তি গত ও আর্থিক সহায়তায় সংগ্রাম (সংঘটিত গ্রামোন্নয়ন কর্মাসুচি) কর্ত্ক বাস্তবায়ন করা হয়েছে।
